Bio

I am an Eagala Certified Equine Specialist who has worked in the field for the past few years. I grew up on a working ranch and this is where my love of interacting with horses began. Most of my horse experience has been real life, ranch/farm life as I was growing up. I was the one who at age 4 was sent into the pasture to bring in the horses who wouldn’t come to anyone else. It was myself who took care of them if they needed anything other than basic grooming and hoof care as they were working horses. By the term ‘working horses’, I refer to rounding up and herding cattle, stomping sileage, etc… So, I guess I’ve always had an affinity for them.  Throughout my working life I have always found myself working with people in a supportive position.  Having enjoyed this, it seemed natural to take it one step further and meld the 2 passions.

I’ve been able to re-engage with horses in my recent past and have had the opportunity to attend Jason Hicks’ Natural Horseman Clinics, study the Buck Brannaman video series, as well as the Eagala training previously mentioned. It has also been my privilege to be able to assist some friends in the area with ‘problem’ horses, as well as horses with injuries and health conditions. The opportunity to take the Raindrop Technique essential oil training has been very helpful in this regard.

Raindrop Technique

I have also been trained in the Raindrop Technique of applying essential oils and would like to offer my services to you and your Equine companions.

In the wild all animals, but especially horses, would roam and find plants that contain beneficial essential oils that they would need. Chewing and stripping bark from trees, rolling in certain plants, smelling plants while grazing, and even standing and walking through certain aromatic plants – would all expose a horse to Nature’s wonderful plant oils.

The Raindrop Technique is indicated for almost any condition.  There are seven main oils within a standard Raindrop Technique, and when you think about all of the properties that these oils possess: anti-aging, anti-viral, antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, anti-inflammatory, immune stimulating, circulation improvement, muscle soothing, to name but a few

– it is hard to find a living being that wouldn’t benefit from a Raindrop.

What Horses Offer Us

Horses instinctively reflect authentic communication, clear boundaries, social courtesy, confidence and intent.

The highly attuned sensitivities of this prey animal call upon us to un-complicate our approach, trust our instincts and balance reason with intelligent emotion.
